The "Nobody" Craze

For the past one week or so, everywhere i go i've been hearing ppl playing Wondergirl's "Nobody" on their handphone speakers and singing along to what they deemed as the hippest song now. Even at Electronic roadshows, the korean brand TVs on display are showing the "Nobody" performance on Music Bank.

acty i was just like, 'ok, everybody catches on a trend at different timings. Kpop isn't really that widespread in Singapore yet so it still takes a rather long time for the song to break into the Singapore market. For it to even be popular here is a feat in itself already.'

this thinking lasted till like yesterday? i was coming out of my dad's car and was walking past the void deck towards the lifts when this guy played the song super loudly on his hp. I turned around and looked at him (purposely play so loud sure will catch attention wan ma) and he gave me the smirk and a look which was like, "hmph. I so in trend. bet you dun have this song". I just rolled my eyes and walked away.

HELLO~~ you're catching onto a song which i was already singing before my A levels and in the middle of prelims. I rmb we were still laughing at Ivy's imitation on the way home from buona vista mrt station. it was released on Sept 22 for goodness sake.

haiz, the song really kinda getting on my nerves now. COME ON PPL! you should be listening to the really IN song in Korea now!!!

Super addictive song! and its really the highest played song in korea at the moment. i emphasized on at the moment cause the music scene in korea really moves very rapidly. a very famous song now could be quickly eliminated in a moment later. anyway, this song has been earning high recommendations for their choreography and rhythm, coupled with an upbeat tune and has been snagging awards ever since it was first released.

strongly recommended by me! if got chance, should go and take a look at their live performances for this song. ZZANG!! haha.

In a dilemma

Today, i finally received response from NUS. ya, i noe its something really worth rejoicing but now i'm seriously in a dilemma.

if i go NTU, i'll be studying Bioengineering. Its very cool and all and i've been looking forward to studying there. Suddenly, i rcv from NUS that i've been accepted into the Science school. FACULTY OF SCIENCE! i mean, how prestigious is that. i also really want to go there.

ARGH~~~~ i cant make up my mind!! someone help me!!! any suggestions anyone? friends? opinions? haiz.

NUS interview + Secret Code!

this morning, woke up at 6am to drag myself to NUS faculty of science. actually, my interview is scheduled at 9.50am but i was too lazy to go and take the mrt all the way to buona vista frm pasir ris so i took a lift frm my dad to tiong bahru mrt station.

reached there ard 7.45am, so went to macdonald for big breakfast. reached buona vista ard 8.30am so took 95 frm in front the mrt station and waited for it to loop to NUS.

reached NUS ard 9.05 so went to science canteen to buy a drink and stare blank. finally went up at ard 9.30am and kept nauseating outside the room. the girl before me seemed to really hit it off well with the interview panel.

i was really really panicky when it was my turn. there was the Dean of FOS and a prof frm department of chemistry(i think he's the head of dpt). plus one more lady i dunno hu.

aniwae, the first qn i expected was more like "why do you want to enter FOS" or "tell us more abt yourself". instead, they asked "what do you think abt the situation in Hong Kong? do you think they are over-reacting?" LOL, i was caught by surprise. but i guess i did fairly ok for the whole interview la.

at the end, they asked if i had any qn for them and i said no. which was true cuz i totally blanked out already. den the dean gave me the doubtful look and said, "are you serious into entering FOS?" diao, no qn means not keen meh? but i just told him the truth la, saying that my brain really cant function at the moment. well, they just laughed it off and let me go.

ask me what are my chances? i would say 50/50.

afterwards, made my way home but stopped by white sands to buy my dad's "100 Country Hits" CD and borrow some books. However, i chanced upon this!

LOL, i noe. ppl gonna say i anyhow spend money again. but when i saw it, it was just calling out to me. and i always try to support their albums(cuz i'm too poor to buy all their singles). =] anw, i'm feeling really happy and amazed that this arrived in singapore so so early! its official release was on 25th March and it came to SG in May! that's fast! it usually takes 2 to 3 months to finally reach Singapore. =] yay! maybe it'll start to arrive earlier and earlier in future. =] =]

yay! a new addition to my collection!


oh ya, by the way, Tohoshinki's new song "share the world" topped the Oricon weekly charts AGAIN! that makes it the 6th song (i think so. lost count already)! Anyway, that earns them the title of Top Overseas Artist in Japan now! congrats!
